Sycamore stables is the home of the WKD jumping team, which at present consists of Sameh El Dahan who competes for Egypt and Joanne Sloan Allen who represents Ireland. Together they are extremely experienced riders with many results at all levels - with Sameh having represented Egypt at nations cups and hoping to represent them this year at the Pan Arab games. Sameh has many wins in his home country of Egypt where he was national champion and also many successes at international level before joining the WKD team in February 2011. Joanne has had many successes internationally over the years right up to international 3* grand prix level, and has competed on the global champions tour invitational circuit for the last six years, and so has many contacts throughout the sport.

Since Sam s arrival in February the team have been constantly on the move - competing successfully on the Spanish Sunshine tour, then onto Villamoura. Joanne then competed on the global tour at Cannes, and Monte Carlo before the team moved to a base in Belgium for the summer.Since then they have competed at Valenswaard, Arezzo, Le Mans, Pinerolo and many other of the top international shows, winning a record six classes between them at the valkenswaard horse festival in August incorporating the global tour, and Sameh gaining olympic classification for wkd pepperpot - now we just need to get him qualified in Qatar in December!!

This strageic move to place sycamore stables at the heart of showjumping in Belgium has paid off with much trading being done by the yard, and the building up of a solid customer base. We are proud to offer a select number of top quality showjumpers which can be seen competing with both Sameh and Joanne at some of the best shows in Europe. All our horses have been thoroughly vetted by us before purchase with clean xrays. We have a range of horses in all age groups and levels, and are sure we will have something to suit everyone.

We also offer a limited number of training places and are always available to chat about any particular requirements or questions you may have. We have our main yard in Northern Ireland - ten minutes from Belfast International airport and fifteen from Belfast city airport or an hour and a half from Dublin international, and also base a satellite yard of horses in Europe throughout the year.
